Expanding
The Port of Rotterdam Authority is expanding the existing Maasvlakte Plaza Truck Park. In addition to its own financial contributions towards this expansion, the Port Authority has received a subsidy from Brussels to develop and construct truck parking. The subsidy was requested by the SecureNL Consortium. This consortium is realising 765 new and secure truck parking spaces in 4 different locations in the south of the Netherlands, along the Top Corridors.
Partners Consortium SecureNL
The SecureNL Consortium comprises the following partners: the Province of South Holland (lead partner), Port of Rotterdam Authority, Municipality of Dordrecht, Municipality of Venlo and Loverbosch B.V. in Asten. Three existing truck parks are being expanded, namely: Maasvlakte Plaza in the Port of Rotterdam, Nobis Asten in North Brabant and Truckstop Venlo in Limburg. A new truck park will also be established near Dordrecht.
SAFE PARKING, 24/7
With the opening of Maasvlakte Plaza, the port of Rotterdam is ready for the future. Truck drivers can access the park 24 hours a day. This means the truck stop is geared completely towards the continuous, round-the-clock operations of the nearby terminals.
